Seniors asked to join focus group

Biddeford was designated an Age Friendly Community by AARP last year and the Biddeford Age Friendly Committee has conducted a survey to get input for a plan to make Biddeford more age friendly for everyone, and especially seniors.

Two focus groups will be conducted to get input from residents regarding issues and needs that concern seniors and what would best address those needs. Some areas identified as needs by preliminary survey results were transportation and information on how to access services. The committee will develop its plan during the next couple months from the input received at the two focus groups. The focus groups will be conducted by Amy Flowers of Analytic Insight. There will be raffles and light refreshments at both focus groups. One focus group will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at the Ross Community Center, Room 8, on Alfred Street. The second focus group will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 at McArthur Library on Main Street.
