Marie Joseph to host retreats in March

“Deep Calls to Deep, an Ignatian Directed Prayer Weekend” will be held March 9-11 at Marie Joseph Spiritual Center in Biddeford.

Hosted by Nancy Sheridan, and Ken Hughes, this silent retreat will begin with a group reflection on desire. This will be followed by small group meetings with individual directors. The remainder of the weekend will include individual daily meetings with a director. Liturgy, morning and evening prayer will be the focus. It begins Friday at 4 p.m. and ends Sunday at 3 p.m.

Another retreat, “Light in Darkness: God’s Presence in Hope and Love” will be held March 16-18, and is hosted by Beverley Fournier.

This weekend retreat centers on the experience of God’s presence in hope and love in the midst of an individual’s deepest trials and darkest times. Through guided meditation, Lectio Divina, gentle reflective sharing and song, participants will seek to ease and quiet their brokenness so they can fully embrace the mystery of God’s presence in their lives.
